Corny, Trippy, and all that Jazz... not really

So at one point I thought I might write a bit about the amount of corn we harvested some time ago. I originally thought I would scorn corny jokes, but I found that really funny. So then I might include some other corny jokes Dad told me about that same time.
It was about two atoms walking down the street, and Hydrogen turns to his Oxygen and says, “I think I lost my electron.”
Oxygen says, “Are you sure?”
“Positive.”

Then I thought maybe I'd talk some about the dog I dog-sat for a week, the only summer job I've had. The dog's name is Jazz, and he's really cute, most of the time. I did get annoyed with him when he went in the house and when he threw up in the house, and a couple of other times. I spent a lot of time reading D. E. Stevenson novels that week.

But I didn't get around to writing any of it.

Then I thought maybe I'd write something about my interesting weekend, which could be summarized in that I went to New Mexico for a funeral for my great-aunt, and stayed a day at my brother's house.
On the way down we went stopped at a Dairy Queen and gift shop where I bought myself a pretty blue shell necklace. We also went through Tucson, Arizona where the sky was amazing. I saw a huge full-arched rainbow, an very impressive thunderstorm with large rather close lightning bolts, and another side of the sky was lit with a golden glow of the setting sun. Beautiful.
The next morning was primarily interesting to me because it was one of the most uncomfortable mornings of my life. Some of the uncomfortable facets of that morning include: throwing up in the morning before we left to drive the (relatively) few miles to the funeral, seeing the dead body of my great-aunt who I probably met once when I was around four, trying not to throw up at the grave site, being hugged by my a few of my Dad's cousins (or their spouses), and being largely ignored by my other very distant relatives (which I was really thankful for).
We drove, a bit out of our way back, to Albuquerque to visit my brother and sister-in-law. We had fun. That first evening we ate at an Indian restaurant, and I enjoyed the food a lot more than I thought I would. It was a good visit, and then we went home.
Overall we spent more than thirty hours in the car, which was rather too much for me. But now I'm home, and not doing much...

So I thought maybe I'd write a little something.

I laughed at your electron joke-a-majigger. Just wanted you to know.
